SOHN、Sam Smith、BANKSと並ぶ、間違いなく2014年の注目アーティストの１人。ロンドンのソウル・シンガー、Kwabs（クワブス）ことKwabena Sarkodee Adjepong。
2月3日リリースのニューEP『Wrong Or Right』から「Wrong Or Right」を公開しました。「Wrong Or Right」は以前ご紹介したSOHNによるプロデュース。素晴らしいなこれ…。
『Wrong Or Right EP』は４曲入りで、この他に「Spirit Fade」「Last Stand」「Wrong Or Right (Ben Pearce Remix)」が収録されています。
「Spirit Fade」は彼の最初のトラックで、SoundCloudでは24時間で1万回再生、海外音楽ブログが取り上げまくった1曲。「Last Dance」もSOHNによるプロデュースで、こちらはSOHNらしいダークで徐々に広がっていくトラックがKwabsのボーカルを引き立ています。「Wrong Or Right」のリミックスで参加しているBen Pearceといえば昨年「What I Might Do」が大ヒットしましたね。

The music is soul, but when people usually talk about soul they think of it from the past – like a Bill Withers type of aesthetic. I want to make stuff that is more modern and in keeping with where music has been recently, and where I think it’s going. It’s quite dark, but hopefully it will inspire people and give them hope.
