オーストラリア・メルボルン出身のSimon LamとChloe Kaulによる従兄弟デュオKllo（元Klo）が4/18に1stシングル「Bolide」をリリースした。この楽曲は、8月5日にリリースのEP『Well Worn』のリードシングルにもなる予定である。
シンセと絡む複雑なクイックドラムで構成された洗練されたサウンドは、CaribouやMachinedrumに影響されている。「Bolide」の歌詞については、以下のようにコメントしている。
“The lyrics behind ‘Bolide’ are about unconditional love — caring about the happiness of another person without any thought of what we might get for ourselves. The ones we love can have a tendency to react to things unfairly and blow situations way out of proportion, but we love them just the same.”
海外の主要音楽メディアでも高く評価されており、今後の飛躍が大きく期待されるKllo。今から要チェックである。
